We move through the city, and it moves through us
‘We move through the city, and it moves through us’, is a meandering documentation of Dublin, a mapping exercise that led me to consider exclusionary space.
My practice is a conscious wandering, an inquisitive drift, observing the overlooked and the forgotten.I am fascinated by space, how we perceive it, interact with it and depict it. Inspired by the writings of George Perec, I seek to exhaust the unnoticed elements of our built environment. This is done through the written form and future work will extend beyond the page to moving image.
Upon completing my degree, I will undertake the position of Arts Executive with the Royal Dublin Society, assisting in the coordination of the RDS Visual Art Awards and the RDS Craft Awards.
