“The underwater world is a completely alien environment right on our doorstep that many of us scarcely give a second thought. Scuba diving gives a unique opportunity to briefly visit a place that might as well be on another planet.”
Inspired by my recent introduction to scuba diving, my work invites audiences to embrace the wonders of the underwater world as experienced by divers, while recognising our responsibility to safeguard its future.
Through an immersive experience, viewers are transported into the depths, highlighting the extraordinary encounters of exploring this hidden world. ‘Submerge’ is a typeface that embodies the unpredictable nature of diving, you can never know what to expect, and no diving experience is ever the same. In the publication, I confront ethical challenges in diving, and advocate for responsible practices to preserve our marine environments. By empowering readers with knowledge and actions, we can protect and cherish the fragile ecosystems beneath the waves.
