Threads of Resilience: Art and Futures Thinking in Conflict-Affected Communities
Step into an immersive art installation where you are encouraged to share your hopes and aspirations for yourself, Ukraine, and the world. A symbolic tent, once a refuge for Ukrainian refugees during turmoil, embodies resilience and solidarity. In this space, your dreams mingle with those of others, crafting a collective vision of hope. Together, our shared aspirations paint a portrait of unity and determination, fostering optimism and anticipation.
Tents hold deep historical significance as symbols of shelter and adaptability for displaced communities worldwide. Amidst ongoing crises, their role in providing temporary refuge remains crucial, echoing into the future.
The installation also features traditional Motanka dolls, Ukrainian symbols of protection and prosperity, evoking Ukraine’s rich heritage and enduring spirit.
In essence, this exhibit pays homage to tradition while embracing the potential of tomorrow, prompting contemplation on the future of displacement and resilience. Collectively, we weave a tapestry of hope for what lies ahead.
