My reflective practice is guided by the principles of making, learning, noticing, and caring. Underpinned by experiences of grief, I reflect on the meaning of craft and design in the context of loss—personal, as well as biodiversity loss and the climate crisis.
While working with natural materials and using traditional techniques such as handloom weaving and natural dyeing, I experiment to achieve desired aesthetics and to invite reflection and discussion. My work embodies concepts and is a visualisation of my research and theories; the artefacts are conceptual, aiming to pose questions. They are open to interpretation, suggestive, and inquisitive.
