Mould and its Vastness
Mould is lurking in the corners of homes nationwide and is a staple of any student accommodation; no one is safe from it. Although painfully common, mould tends to be a source of embarrassment for those affected by it. Many people aren’t aware they have a mould infestation until it’s already too late, and available resources are very inaccessible to the average person, which can be very overwhelming; this allows the problem to manifest both physically and mentally.
My work aims to provide nuanced social commentary about current housing standards and educate people on mould’s hazardousness while appreciating its beauty and intricacies. A printed publication, poster series, and textile piece lead you through 'Mould and Its Vastness' with vulnerability, sarcasm, and candour.
