Environmental Transience
This body of work investigates environmental transience in all its forms from the seasonal changes in nature to transformations within the built environment. The expansion of my town- marked by the inevitable loss of trees and green spaces and the rise of high-density residential buildings- has deeply inspired this work.
I have been influenced by the work of contemporary Irish artists, Katie Holten and Michael Wann and the wider contemporary landscape debate. Drawing is a new artistic medium for me as I am primarily a textile embroidery artist.
